This version of the Westbank First Nation case story also focuses on the transition from scattered, reactive training to a structured system that supports onboarding, safety, HR and leadership development. It describes how employees across many departments previously depended on schedules, manually assembled materials and managers’ personal experience, making training slower and less consistent.
SafetyNow enabled WFN to assign concise learning paths, pair policies with relevant supervisor training and maintain clear records showing who completed each requirement and when. Managers can now use targeted courses during coaching and disciplinary conversations, turning difficult situations into opportunities for development. The longer-term plan includes customized Indigenous leadership pathways and culturally relevant onboarding content designed to strengthen internal talent, reduce disruption from leadership turnover and prepare the next generation of community leaders. This PDF contains substantially the same case-story content as the previous Westbank file, but uses a different SafetyNow contact/address edition.
